Thank you so much for everyone that came out! The weather couldn't have been more beautiful. Our gallery show and discussion turned out amazing on Friday night with all of us participating in the show giving talks to students and guests about our gallery pieces, our process, what inspires us, and taking questions. I think it was one of the best gallery presentations I have been a part of, and surprisingly for me I wasn't nervous to speak about my art at all. I rather enjoyed it! And I got some wonderfully insightful questions too. I love having to reach deep inside myself for reasoning as to my art. The weekend was filled with friends I am blessed with coming up to visit me and many guests. I am so grateful!
I even enjoyed the preparations for the art crawl this year. I worked late into the night in my studio which was fun...just turning on the music, shutting the world out, freeing my muse and marinating in the gaze of possibilities. I was in love being up there. I haven't enjoyed my studio space so much in a long time and that felt refreshing. I felt accomplished and invigorated. It was lovely.
I'm pondering a pre-Christmas open house?? hmmmmmm :)
